Carli Super Duty Leveling Systems

Due to popular demand, Carli Suspension has developed a 2.5" suspension system for SuperDuty owners wanting the "Carli Suspension Ride" without the height of our current 4.5" suspension lift offering. This system will lift the front of the vehicle 2.5" with the use of a soft ride, linear rate coil spring. As will all Carli coils, these will come pre-set, shot peened and powder coated to ensure they perform and look great for the life of the vehicle.

Shock options currently range from Bilstein 5100, Fox 2.0 IFP, Fox 2.0 Remote Reservoir, to a custom length King 2.5" remote reservoir front and piggy back rear are added into the mix with Sage's custom tuning for each body style. The caster is adjusted with an adjustment cam included with the system; further, an adjustable track bar with a 7/8" x 7/8" FK Bearing Rod end and angled ball joint seat (to prevent bind associated with other adjustable track bars) get the SuperDuty's front axle square under the truck again.

The rear springs are softened by removal of the overload and helper springs in addition to a year-specific progressive add-a-packs and Zinc plated U-Bolts. F350s will need an F250 block to maintain a level stance with the front given the F250 block is 1" shorter. All Carli add-a-packs maintain factory load capacity while softening the rear ride.For an even better ride improvement in the rear you can upgrade to the full replacement Carli/Deaver leaf springs that are bolt in replacments for the 08-16 trucks. Customers with 05-07 trucks can order the 08-10 leafs (please call for upgrade pricing) but you will need to move your front leaf spring hangars (Instructions on how to perform this are listed above). The full leaf upgrade also completely eliminates the factory lift blocks which when combined with the better spring design, offers superior wheel hop control without the addition of traction aids.

2.5" SuperDuty Coilover 2.5 System

The Coilover system rides nearly identical to the Pintop. Take the description for the Backcountry and throw an exponent on it. Benefits of the Coilover System over the Pintop system are aesthetics (what looks cooler than a coilover?), height adjustability for large bumpers/winch combination and future upgradability. Once the coilover plates are installed, you’re a Coilover tune and Front/Rear Bypass purchase away from owning the Coilover-Bypass System.

The Coilover system boasts Carli specific, blueprinted, 8” Travel King 2.5” Coilovers front and 13” travel rear piggy-back reservoir shocks. In an effort to provide customers with the best product, we designed a custom piston to determine proper base flow rates to ensure the shock works well in the heavy duty truck platform; we then tuned the shocks around the custom pistons based on the only thing that matters to us, seat-of-the-pants feel. We round off ALL our King shocks with shafts machined and polished from a solid piece of 17-4 Stainless. Unlike King’s standard shafts, there is no coating to wear off, weather can’t hurt them and if there is a small chip, you can round the edges with emery cloth to ensure the seal housing isn’t damaged as they’re not brittle like the stock, hardened shafts. The shocks are finished with King oil good to -55° F. Note that all King shocks are built with a plated steel body. If subjected to inclement weather for extended periods, we recommend wrapping your shocks in 3M to provide a moisture barrier that’s replaceable.

The Coilover is a Jack-of-all-trades system from which every Super Duty owner would benefit. Raising the Super Duty Platform then adding Carli Tuned, 2.5” diameter shocks (55% more piston surface area than a 2.0” shock) will support the argument that these trucks should come equipped with 2.5” shocks from the factory.

The truck will sit 2.5” higher in the front and have more wheel travel thanks to the coilover that mounts in the Carli Coilover Conversion Bracket. The included Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle and Stainless Brake Lines firm up braking and ensure there is enough line for the newfound travel. To round off the front end, we include Caster Shims to tighten the steering.

The rear can be outfitted with a replacement Full Progressive Spring Pack (reduces capacity to a “light” ¾-ton) or factory leaf-pack modifying Progressive Add-a-Pack (maintains factory payload capacity and pairs with the factory 2” block). This is where the F250 and F350 are a bit different. Since 2008, the main spring packs on these two trucks is different; the F250 has a lighter rate spring pack than its 350 counterpart. The F250 Add-a-Pack equipped systems are a nice improvement over stock; the F350 with the Add-a-Pack is still very stiff in the rear as the main pack doesn’t move much unless loaded. We recommend the Full Replacement Leaf Spring packs for both trucks but especially, the F350 given the super-stiff factory springs. If capacity is a concern, an aftermarket airbag system should be installed to compliment the Full Progressive Leaf Springs to restore the F350 capacity. We recommend a system that will allow the airbags to disconnect from the lower mount during suspension cycling to ensure you’re able to take advantage of all your rear suspension travel. The Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack will shift the axle slightly forward in the wheel well to ensure maximum tire clearance for a 37” M/T at full compression.

If ordering this kit with an Add-a-Pack, Super Duties equipped with a 3-5/8" tall block from the factory will require the factory 2" tall Block to achieve a leveled stance with the Add-a-Pack. Part Number: 7C3Z-5598-L and 7C3Z-5598-K

  • Recommended Configuration - Carli Leveling Systems are Designed and Tested on Vehicles with 17"-18" Wheels with 35", E-Rated Tires. Stock wheels and tires or running a larger wheel diameter will result in a stiffer ride.
