Spicer 5-799X U Joint

Part of the Spicer Life series of replacement parts, these solid u-joints never need greasing due to the bevelled trunion and triple lip seal that is incorporated in the bearing cap. This design also eliminates water contamination. These come pre-greased with a high quality grease and are non-greasable for higher strength than hollow bodied greasable joints.

These have a bearing cap diameter of 1.188. You will need to measure the bearing cap diameter in you truck to verify fitment. If your truck uses the 1.062 size bearing caps then you will need to order the 5-790X joints listed in related products.

Dana Spicer quality is evident in all these joints. Watch out for the ball and socket in the middle of your double cardan joint, it's easy to mess up if you try to remove the old caps the usual way. Take out the driveshaft and yoke caps first. Then you can tap the caps on the carrier about half way out and wiggle the trunnion (cross) out of the way. Finish tapping them out from the back or you might damage the seal and center ball socket.
