Shipping & Returns

All products are shipped out from one of the Truck Gear LLC shipping locations. Truck Gear LLC drop ships some products and directly ship many others. Most products are shipped UPS or FedEx. Special arrangements may need to be made for oversize packages via truck freight.

Shipping Rates

The Shipping Rates that are shown at time of checkout are dimensional rates only. If your shipment weight is too much, then contact us for a shipping quote. If there is an error in the shipping rate quoted we will contact you and let you know of the changes.

All Shipping rates apply to the US Lower 48 States Only. For shipping to Alaska and Hawaii please contact us for proper shipping rates.

Shipping Restrictions

Separate Shipping and Billing Addresses

If you choose to use 2 different addresses for your order and you have not purchased parts from us before, it might cause a delay in shipping due to the verification process. If the delay in shipping concerns you, please call in your order.

High value items like electronics and lighting will only be shipped to the actual billing address due to high fraud risk

Signature Requirement

For your protection and ours, we ship almost all packages with a signature required for delivery. If you specifically want us NOT to require a signature for delivery, please make a notation in the "Order Comments" field you see on the order form.

PLEASE NOTE: Any insurance claims for damaged items and/or stolen goods from your doorstep that are NOT honored by the shipping carrier because you requested a signature not be required for delivery is NOT our responsibility. We will not cover the cost!

Truck Gear LLC CANNOT ship product directly to APO or FPO (Military) addresses because we utilize UPS and FEDEX (which does not ship to APO/FPO addresses). As an option, you may want to consider shipping to a stateside street address and then sending the package to the APO/FPO address overseas via the US Postal Service.

International orders (Outside the USA) to countries other than Canada are not being offered at this time.

Canadian Shipment Fees:

We've teamed up with UPS to help reduce your total inbound shipment cost.

We truly appreciate our customer's in the "Great White North" so 8LUGTruckGear.com.com has joined the UPS "E-Tailor Brokerage Program" which significantly reduces inbound shipment fees for residential deliveries in Canada.

This program does not apply to commercial customers. Commercial delivery fees can be found here. Hint: Many of our commercial customers opt to have shipments delivered to their home address to take advantage of this program!

To make deliveries to Canada faster and more streamlined, once an order ships, you may call UPS at 1-800-263-8125, option 3, and pre-pay the brokerage fees and taxes over the phone. Pre-paid packages are not delayed by customs, as things will have already been handled. You must have the UPS Tracking Number in order to pre-pay.

Remember: You have paid 8LUGTruckGear.com for the actual product and the shipping. You need to pay UPS for any Applicable Taxes and Brokerage Charges.

Call us for Canadian orders as our website may not charge the correct shipping rates and we have some restrictions on the items that we can ship to Canada.

Cancelled Orders

Some orders cannot be cancelled as they may be special orders that our suppliers don't allow returns or cancellations on. Please send us an email to inquire about the cancellation process if you are concerned that an order may not be filled in a timeline that fits your needs.

Cancelled PayPal payments

All orders placed using PayPal will incure a 3% cancellation fee. This is to offset the original 3% fee that we are charged as a merchant. This fee only applies to PayPal purchases as their new policy does not refund the transaction fee when we process a return for any reason. Damaged shipments

In the event a product arrives damaged to your location, please follow the steps listed below. All damaged items must be reported to the shipping carrier immediately and you must notify Truck Gear LLC within 5 days of receiving your order. If these steps are not followed, your shipment may not be able to be a candidate for the insurance claim.

Take pictures of the damaged area of the product and email them to us at info@8LUGTruckGear.com.

Keep the product and its original packaging and box

Make a list of the damaged or lost item(s)

Truck Gear LLC will contact the shipper once we receive the email info above to schedule a pickup, DO NOT send it back to us

Once the product is picked up and inspected by shipping company, a replacement will be sent.

Incorrect Shipments

In the event that the product you ordered is sent either incorrectly or processed wrong by Truck Gear LLC, we will arrange for the package to come back to us and ship out a replacement. We will evaluate the situation before we determine the shipment was incorrect.

Unwanted items

If a product is ordered and not wanted, the UNUSED item can be returned for a 20% restocking fee. Shipping is not refundable in either direction. All items wanting to be returned MUST be reported within 30 days of the original invoice date. No items will be returnable after 30 days. All products shipped from the Truck Gear LLC warehouse are shipped via UPS, Fedex, or Freight and require a signature when delivered. Some packages shipped from the manufacturer may or may not require signatures for package release. Fedex and UPS have package pick up locations if you are unable to sign for the package. If the package is returned to Truck Gear LLC or manufacturer, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs and pay a 20% restocking fee. The restocking fee and our original shipping costs will be deducted from the refund amount.

Items are not returnable if these conditions exist:

  • Product has been installed and/or used
  • Product has been damaged from an attempt to be installed and/or used
  • Product was build to order or special order from the manufacturer
  • Product is shipped back without original box, manual and/or parts
  • Seal on electrical parts is broken
  • Product serial number does not match that of which was original shipped to buyer
  • Product is deemed not resell able by Truck Gear LLC due to customers own actions in dealing with the product

For some of these reasons make sure that prior to beginning your install, please verify that you have received all items ordered and that they are correct.

Return Procedures

  • Contact our Customer Service Department to receive a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All packages returned without a Returned Merchandise Authorization number will be refused.
  • Package the item up in original packaging
  • Returned product must be in new, re-saleable condition, with all original boxes, packaging, parts, cables, manuals, etc.
  • The RMA must be written on the outside shipping carton.
  • Include the UNUSED parts and any additional information that was included
  • Include a copy of your receipt
  • Write a brief description of the problem with the product
  • If you have a receipt for the return shipping include as well
  • Once we have received the above information we will notify you via email or phone and let you know the status.
  • We DO NOT except any freight collect package

Warranty

Truck Gear LLC does not manufacture any of the products that we carry and therefore do not imply nor offer any warranty on them. All product warranties if any, implied have been done so at the discretion of the manufacturer. If you need warranty assistance on any product you've purchased, please contact us. All warranties are handled by the manufacturers. Items needing repair should be returned to the original manufacturer.
